    Principle

    The GT-7011-SC1 is specifically designed to assess the water vapour absorption and permeability of leather shoes. It simulates the interior environmental conditions of footwear during wear, allowing the shoe materials, including the upper, lining, and insole, to absorb and permeate water vapour. Changes in the mass of both the footwear and desiccant are measured to determine the water vapour absorption and permeability.

    Material applications:

    Well-suited for assessing the water vapour absorption and permeability of various shoe materials, including upper, lining, and insole.

    Adjustable water vapour conditions:

    With adjustable control of humidity and water vapour pressure flowing into the footwear, this instrument simulates various humid environments to replicate diverse real-world conditions.

    Water vapour absorption assessment:

    By measuring the change in mass of the footwear after its interior has been exposed to water vapour under specific humidity and pressure for a prescribed period of time, the water vapour absorption of the footwear can be determined.

    Water vapour permeability assessment:

    By measuring the change in mass of the desiccant which absorbs the water vapour permeated from the vamps of the footwear over a prescribed period of time, the water vapour permeability of the footwear can be determined.

    Material performance evaluation:

    Enables manufacturers to assess how materials in different parts of footwear manage water vapour during wear.

    Quality assurance:

    Supports manufacturers in achieving sufficient water vapour absorption and permeability during quality assurance.

    Standard conformity:

    Ensures that products meet industry standards and satisfy quality expectations in the market.
